All Golf Course Superintendents need to have an excellent working knowledge of fertilizers and how they work. The University Of Florida Extension Program has posted a great piece on their website about the different fertilizers required to maintain and grow healthy turf.

As Superintendents work to feed their turf on a consistent basis in order to produce a healthy, resilient golf course they are always looking for ways to improve their fertilizer program. Tom Margetts of Innovative Agronomics has posted an interesting blog about the use of boron for healthy turf.

As a turf manager their is a tremendous amount of information out there that we are expected to know and understand. Much of it can be quite confusing, such as figuring out the differences between phosphites and phosphates. Here is an excellent article from Penn State University that helps to explain phosphonate products.
